Jackies Beach today 10-10-10
« on: October 10, 2010, 10:53:02 pm »
Myself and chris went down around low tide basically to see the layout of the beach and see where we'd be chucking come high water, sea looked good for a few fish to show once the tide come up,bit later on just before Eddie came down i had what looked a definite bite anyways turned out to be a schoolie 30 odd cms was canny pleased as it was only my 2nd ever bass, picture took then released off like a bullet.

The next few hours after this we fished the beach or should i say tried to! Weed nearly every cast, rigs being lost pretty much every cast due to the dreaded weed.  After this we had enough so moved onto one of the higher marks again no weed here but no fish either, further to this lost more tackle.By about 8ish we had enough so called it a day.

All in all canny bad session by all accounts,if the weed wasn't as bad i think we may have had a chance of fishing properly and something decent turning up. Will definitely fish the place again as it has plenty of fish holding areas. Just a shame nowt showed of any significance today but there's alway next time.  :PTTT:

Jackies beach is best fished at the south end of the beach. The middle & north end is rocky.
Definately best to visit during a good low tide.
Never managed anything decent but it does look promising.

I have fished this mark before with no luck but it looks like a cracking mark.

Nice little bass mate.
