soon be gatso type cameras on the piers and riverside to take photos of all that fish.then use the national identikit computer to find out who they all are ,then drop a fine on your doorstep.they will say its to preserve our coast line and use the money this generates to put up more cameras,
can you see were im going with this . :ash22:

If it comes the places they will hit will be the easy marks, like the piers etc the chances of getting nobled on the more remote spots will be next to nil. They're already doing it with pot licenses(which cost nowt but a stamp) but seen a few lad's pulled on the gare and bring the police in so it's off to the station and an on the spot fine or the threat is go to court and face a fine of up to ?2000 so most people pay the spot fine.
I'm not a complete idiot there's bits missing

its dead in the water

too much money to improve fish stocks before they could bring in a license and no way to police it if they did  theres almost 20,000 miles of coast in the uk , theres what 4 maybe 6 EA folks per county who go out checking fresh water licenses ( i know i keep seeing the same 4 in the north east and have only met 2 in kent out of 12 inspections when fishing down there )

still it would bring down unemployment as i reckon you would need  what two people ( they always work in two's ) per 30 mile stretch  so 7500 off the dole  and they would be on what grade ? pay so a guess would be about ?16000 + managers ( say 1000 @ ?24000 ) so wages would be needing around ?122400000 so the license would need to be say ?80 to cover wages and improvements needed to allow it to be brought in

add to that the office space and support they would need and for the license to be self supporting it would cost you around ?100 / year

or you could scrap the idea as they did and keep the 2-4 million votes they would lose if they brought it in

these are politicians remember , they get voted into power , and the vote is king
if in danger or in doubt run around and scream and shout

Let them get on with it,if it does happen its going to be a good while before it does come into effect,in the mean time enjoy the free fishing, bait digging, allthough we are allready paying the goverment by way of taxes on all of the products we buy, fuel to get where we want to go etc, some of these taxes will be spent on projects to improve our coastline....Hendon prom for example ;D :lol2: :lol2:
