Fished the first gate on shields pier this afternoon with Eddie for a few hours into darkness, bit slow to start but as the tide picked up plenty fish biting, loads of coalies to get through, some canny ones amongst them,we did manage to get a good few sized codling out biggest about 2lb...........some good bags of cod coming off the end of the pier :GRINCH:

Slightly uncouth that cod fishing lobbing big rag/crab/mussel baits randomely about and pulling various size and undersize fish out.Where as bass fishing is much more refined and involves targetting the species by lobbying big rag/crab/mussel baits out and pulling in f##k all most the time whistle :bang: :bang: :laugh20: :dr2:
