AKIOS reels
« on: September 15, 2010, 11:33:09 pm »
bought one today 656ctm and got to say impressed, basically an abu with all the good old bits put back on and everything else improved. chome over brass and stainless handle, screwed on reel foot to round cage , better than abu's that rot and break at foot and a proper clicking rotating mag unit and ultra smooth retrieve , better and far smoother than most abu's
anyone else out to say about them, personally imo its better than a 7ht mag by miles.
well done akios, CRAP NAME like :lol2: good post

looks very similar to the abu 7000 range even the price except for labeling and coloring it could be passed for the abu reels,as youv said all the best of abus plus improved where needed.
mind got to disagree i dont think he knocked 10%off cause ya a handsome chap,he felt sorry for you as your super ugly and he knows fishing is going to be your only pleasure whistle roll1 roll1 :cm1: :cm1: :cm1:hope ya cast far and if its used in the water i hope ya get plenty of fish.
of all the things iv lost,

In life you get what you pay for, the  ?90-00 price tag mentioned  means its true value is probably  around ?50-00 and you simply  wont get good  quality for that. The internal parts  of any reel in that price range canot be of a  high standard, its  simply not economical for this to happen and nonsenseical to suggest otherwise.
