Report and pics on the whitby site of a 9yr old lad who caught a 20 lb cod in the autumn boat festival yesterday. :o

He might as well rap it in now  :laugh20: Don't know if him an his dad were fishing the match but he's got a fair chance of winning if they were.Be nice to win the best fish of the week at 9yrs old :cm1:

They were well out on a wreck Ed,but the report says they only got three drifts in before the fish went off about 8 o'clock,Bit of a sickner if you're paying 35 to 40 quid for a trip.

 Just Seen The Photo. The Cod Is Nearly As Big As The Lad What Caught It..
 Hope Somebody Told Him Not Expect That On Every Outing..  But It Is A Good Catch

Looks like the weather will stuff the fishing for the next couple of days, so he's got an even better chance of winning can you imagine that at 9yrs old. :o
