Decided for a trip to Derwent today, have not been up much this year, our John has been getting up there regular and getting some good bags,so arranged to meet him up there with his mate Brian who had never fished there before.
Canny day for it,overcast with a bit of wind but it was slow to start,a couple of smaller ones and Brian managed to get his first rainbow about 2lb,then his second which was a belter...7lb :D

Still pretty slow after that, lot of bites but not connecting,John and Bri called it a day about 1.00 and left with a canny haul between them

Stayed on for a couple more hours myself hopin for a bigun,no such luck, had a canny day, ended up with 3 for the pan, biggest about 3lb,missed a few, couple of snap offs, well worth the trip just to see Brians face, first trout session and he nails a 7 pounder :up22:
