where can i get a decent rod rest ?

every1 i have seen is for the beach and places ive been going have no where to rest the rod or i end up using my car as a rest which goes down well with the misses

Agree with Codho personally, the Salt is the biz (there is also a Ron Thompson copy of the Salt and the new MTi stand is a variant, all good).

Lot of lads swear by the Ian Gold stands, I've given 2 away, I just don't rate them alongside the salt, mind the Ian Gold is lighter I guess.
