It's 99 change hands Skiny as you know whistle back to the topic, I know by this report the cod stocks look like there starting to recover, but it could be a disaster to start upping quotas to early. It would be sheer madness to go back to the unregulated days of the mid seventies.

I fished inshore boats from the mid 70's thro till the 90's on an off, when it was'nt worth while I packed it in.Now I can understand if people want to have a go at me ,but at the time fishing was my stanby living when no other work was about. But what I'm saying is we should not go back to the stage of unregulated fishing which it was then, nobody ever checked our nets/catches etc.The only thing they checked for was salmon/sea trout an lobster sizes anthing else wasfair game, and we used to run anthing up to 2km of nets depending on the time of year.
