The winter season

Starting to get the usual buzz as i normally do getting ready for the winter season,not long now,i usually start September,i am a bit confused at the moment as there seems to be Codling coming in all over,if they stick around,there will be a lot of 2lb fish around before Xmas,when does everyone else officially start there winter Cod fishing :up22:

 I usually Start The Middle Of October,,  Tunstall,, Or North Withrensea,, See,s The First Cod Then Dimlington,, Last Year Was The Pits,,  Hope To Do Better This Season.......

It might be a good early season like you say Chris if they stick around,been some good catches lately,so you never know it might be a good winter season yet,good luck to everyone.

we did but just practice,me sorting me casting out,you just sorting ya sel out......had a few canny sessions though :up22:

The cod season usually kicks of september, but ive had codling of the beaches in august if the conditions were right, and when ya didnt get much bother on the dock the cod were there all summer to, used to get decent sprag size fish of the dock in the summer on the crab
