Spooning for Flounders
« on: July 24, 2010, 05:05:14 pm »
It has to be said, flounders are a predatory fish and will quite frequently attack most baits whilst moving whether it be worm baits, fish baits even crabs baits, with the added attraction of a spoon the flounder fishing can be really good fun, single worm baits with a spoon added to your fishing rig works great the water needs to be ideally clear alot of estuaries always suffer from flood water but most of the time in the summer when there is not many onshore winds and rain the water clears up,spoons are easy to source and don't cost that much alot of anglers make there own. Spoons won't only attract flounders in estuaries you may use them on the open shoreline marks for plaice, dabs and the other flatfish are attracted by them.

An example of such a spoon rig.
