Fished Saltburn pier tonight, got there 2hrs before h/w and had the place to meself (never been known) nice little swell running with a sh\ite crosswind.Bites from the off but could'nt connect with out, looked like whiting knocks so maybe should have put a scratching rig on but it looked like it might have chucked a cod or 2 out so carried on with the pennel pulley.Two more lads came on just before H/W they had a couple of whiteys before I bailed out, one caught on a pennel with 3 lug and 3 squid on a 4/0 LOL.Anyway that's the first blank of the year out the way and the hangover sorted :up22:

Least you got out for a few hours mate,better luck next time,seems to still be quite a few codling about even though its flattened off,Loads of whiting about up here as well,try and get myself motivated and get out

That was my first trip since well before xmas, had that flubug then just lost all interest with the shite weather.Just trying to get the motivation back to go bait digging :lol2:

Been digging down whitburn plenty just ended up giving most of it away,might get out this week hopefully
