Roker beach smugglers 1/11/12
« on: November 02, 2012, 09:51:09 am »
Fished smugglers with Arran last night, swell had dropped off during the day but still a bit of a roll coming in,had a canny session for a change, just using blow lug and yellows for bait, casting short was more productive, quite busy with bites, one of which lifted my rod butt into the air about 2ft,that was the bass :lol2: Weed was a big problem at times and the crabs were out in force, bass was 43cm,Codling 44cm,got a big whiting,a plaice about pound half and a coaley,Arran missed a few bites but had to leave before the fish came on,wasnt feeling too good.......kept the two bigger fish for tomorrows tea, enjoyable session.
