Hornsea SAC held match no 2 of its 2012/13 Season on Sunday 21st October 2012. Fishing a 5.5 metre tide with high water at 9.30am an early start at 8am with a 2pm finish meant some early risers had to contend with thick fog to get to their favourite marks. The day turned out to be a good one for most with plenty of fish being caught. It seems there are a lot of undersize fish being caught and returned which is unusual for this time of the year.
With calm seas it was easy to see most of the bites even from the smallest of
Whiting/Flats.
Ian Stead headed for Breil Nook and finished the day with the biggest fish, a Ballan Wrasse of 1.30Kg, only one Cod was caught from Dimlington by S Lawson. Ian won the Decorators Cup for best fish.
Mark Tonge, who came 4th in the 1st match, went even better when beaching 13 Whiting from Dimlington for a total weight of 4.42Kg. Second place was Scott Poultney also from Dimlington with 4.32Kg. Paul Scott was on Spurn Road and had 14 fish for 4.20Kg. Jodie Lemm was also at Dimlington with 13 Fish for 3.84Kg
Only 2 Juniors weighed in, Ryan Beighton 3 fish for 0.78Kg with Ben Porter with a Flounder of 0.38Kg winning the Junior Decorators Cup.
