stu and i headed for roker last night   in high hopes of codling   to find the pier  was closed  how lucky we was   :HPY:  stu had lost a good fish on the wind in hopless fkr , i was into the first codling of the night 1lb and a half maybe touch more ,stu also landed hes first size codling around the same size we had a few undersize ones between us  as the tide slackened i gets a good bite which produced a codling @ 3lb 5 ounces  ,followed by another around a 1lb 10  which coughed up a sandeel i return him as it was just lipped  stu again hit a good slack liner bite and came off again :AWW: but was rewarded later with another size codling pundhalfer   odd dabs showed too  sadly i had to nash around midnight for graft this morning left stu down there hunting  i know he rang me  saying he had   a dogfish  :o probs get a few pics later off him  when he rises  from the  pit
