A.T.N.E online Tackle Shop

Right gents your views on this issue are required. Have been checking the other forums and basically the only other site that has its own online shop is WSF.
As a small and upcoming site that is looking to attract new members and increase our pressence in the north east amongst the fishing community would it not be beneficial to have our own online members shop offering a small discount off gear to all members.
If you have a good think about it, we all buy terminal tackle,line and accessories from elsewhere and pay full retail prices for them.So would it not be better if we kept the sales/buying of gear 'IN HOUSE', We get a little saving on our tackle and Sam makes a little bit in the process.
IMO i think it would be a good idea,not only for the possibilty of making a saving on tackle but it may bring in New Members to the site and when ATNE is searched for it states in the listing that we have our own members discounted tackle shop.

It is a good idea Dave but we had something like that on the other site but we would of been selling t-shirts stickers hoodies and thing like that and it never got off the ground also funding will be a prob i know Sam had/has a on line shop, Sam ask about this yesterday in the staff area.

He is going to look in to it so he must has a canny bit gear but what happens when that runs out.

I am out of work and would not be able to help Sam found this so it has to be look in to with out a doubt.

Sounds good in theory,are we talking about a shop which sells gear to make a profit or a website ordering gear in bulk to supply to its members at cost price.............allready loads of websites and tackleshops struggling out there with no fish about......................Sam you allready tried online tackle sales.....what was good/bad about it and whats your thoughts on an ATNE Shop

Shop with small discount Chris,in effect it will beat most shop prices round these parts,payment via paypal or cash,postage available royal mail 1st class,plenty of sales 1st month chris then it went downhill tbh.

probably only went down hill because fishin is dire . i imagine well established shops r struggling , i havent spent a penny on fshin 4 over a month cos theres nowt doing .

Nowt mate,sorted old mans heating out yesterday,done a couple of remeds today,meeting at the school with Arran,hope fully start a bit graft tomorrow,hows the base going...bit milder today :up22:
