Nightmare did he say what was wrong with it Keith.

Something to do with the spigot and rings have varnish on !. Will see if it is worth getting in touch with Conoflex to see if it can be fixed when i get the rod back

Hi guys

Got the nemesis back and been told that the spigot has being carbon sprayed and that the rings on the rod have being dropped as they have been touched up with varnish to make them smooth

Dave just being over and we looked it over good and proper THERE is NOTHING wrong with the rod. Even put it together really tight and pulled it apart. Checked the rings. the varnish is what i call over sray from the factory.

Came to the idea he didn't like, want it

Ive just had a look at the rod. Yes a couple of the tip section eyes have a little over varnish on them. Carefully peeled the over varnish off 1 of the rings and it was only a little bit of varnish. No damaged to the ring finish under this varnish.Ring still has its original finish on it. Spigot does have over carbon spray on it but it looks to be factory finish as there is varnish over it where the spigot comes out of the butt section. Put the rod together with a tight fit and nearly an inch of spigot still showing. Mine and keiths weight is combined approx 35 stone and it took a bluddy chuffing good long pull on the sections to separate the rod.
