Flotation Suit Cleaning
« on: January 04, 2011, 03:36:02 pm »
Firstly I'd like to wish everyone a Happy New Year.

Washing a flotation suit, what do you normally do? I've looked inside the suit but cannot find anything that tells me what can be done. So before I just pop it into the washing machine, I thought I'd ask the vets what is best done.

Lets hope the fishies are gagging for some hookers soon.

Stephen

Wouldn't do it in the washer just sponge it down with soapy water not to hot and don't use detergent it could affect the water proofing. Never washed mine, mind people keep their distance  whistle It's generally the hand warmer pockets that end up stinking of bait.

good wash down with a stiff brush and soapy water then bring it in the living room and put it on the radiator....give it 5 minutes then run like hell avoiding the right hook from your lass

Thanks for the replies.

It is the hand-warmer pockets that do tend to smell just a tad.

(Trev, I didn't want to say anything before but when we were last at Staincliffe you may have noticed I was moving away towards the Headland, slightly wiffy ;) )
