sea angler topic leads
« on: December 27, 2010, 01:18:55 pm »
bought sea angler for a change well its xmas unfortunatly.

topic on about leads which i have thought a lot about myself and imo think it is important.

they are saying sa the importance of nailing your lead hard to the sea bed they reckon prob more important than distance.

personaly i agree , a trot line automaticaly sets hook in fishes mouth its firmly anchored in sea bed to me i believe your grip lead should do the same. well thats what i believe in ,i sacrifice sreamlined rigs at times on account of leads i use.

what do you think agree/disagree/not sure ??/????

The right place is the sea and the right bait is what the fish are feeding on.

You should know all this you have been fishing for a canny bit and ya know all the top anglers round the country we should be asking you. :YHMAN:

Agree with getting a good hold on the bottom,no point getting your bait out well ouut over the surf only for  your gear to get washed straight back in,good angling is having the ability to get a combination of things right on the day..........but the fish need to be there

if we wanted to "nail our lead hard to the sea bed " then surly we would fix the hook link to the lead and have weight on the hook link
we are told from these comics, as tony calls them, to present our bait naturally one month then nail it to the floor the next , if they cant make there mind up unless its sponsored then how or why should we worry about what they say

fish how it makes you happy , catching or not ( not that theres owt there to catch when you look at comp results and lack of catch reports ) its you hobby do it to please ya sell not others

the rags are there to sell you gear " this months must have to catch the big one " they catch your money not fish , i had around 4 years worth of fresh and sea mags and the only thing i got out of them was haw to tie some rigs when i first started , there tips from the pros were what they were doing 2 years ago and every one knew about , did not see them with breaking news about cart till it had been in use for almost 2 years
just wait  in 3 years they will all be full of how to catch cod with avocado  :cm1:
if in danger or in doubt run around and scream and shout
