Woke up to a burst water pipe
« on: December 23, 2010, 08:41:57 am »
Well gents, so much for getting a lie in.The Mrs woke me up at 6 saying she could here water running downstairs. To cut a long story short, the plastic water feed pipe for the washing machine has burst during the night and we had a lovely indoor swimming pool.....BAAAA HUMBUGGGG.....Bloody insurance companies are useless.....4 hrs to wait for an emergency plumber so i told them to just forget about it, i just turned the water feed valve off.So time to hit the hardware shop for a new pipe once i get out of my wetsuit and flippers  :cm1: :cm1:
Anyone can fish......It's Catching them that's the hard part.

2011 SPECIES CAUGHT:  Coalie x3(biggest 33.5cm), Rockling x6, Blenny x1, Flounder x1, Whiting x1

Ive got the pipe off mate and the plastic nut that tightens on to the water feed adaptor from the water mains has split....Luckily we have thew washing machine in the washhouse/utility room....Flooring is fooked and the plasterboards on the wall behind the washing machine are soaked through. So i have a big job to do in the spring....Replasterboard 3 walls and put down new flooring.
