Whitby East pier
« on: December 13, 2010, 12:36:19 am »
Fished whitby east pier tonight from 5 until 10-30, called at Runsick on the way down looked spot on but soft lad hadn't brought his waders (thought we were fishing a pier was my feeble excuse) anyway got to the East pier with a lot more sea on than forcast but this place fishes when the surf moves past though you do get cut off at the top of the tide for a couple of hrs.Anyway the story of the night was I managed to pull out a kelp forest stalk by stalk and Jim managed to destroy a full spool of new line. We had one good bite apiece mine  got into the rocks about 20 yds out and got itself off just after I got it out the snag( the only cast I never got a lump of kelp on all night) and Jim's took a dive into the snags and reliefed him of his last half spool of line. So Lad's another blank baits used rag, runnydown, mussel, razor.cart
