The spiles (seaham)
« on: December 12, 2010, 09:30:20 pm »
Myself and Eddie fished the spiles today, perfect conditions, lovely sea running, some canny baits used between the two of us........absolutely dire, not a sniff of a codling, quite a bit of weed in the water, not enough to cause any big problems, baits coming back untouched every cast, but canny afternoon, good to get back out again and a new mark for me,will be back there again.........cheers for the lift Eddie,Ya driving is not that bad..dont know what your lass is on about whistle

never produced for me the spiles ,i have fished it a lot in my younger days just have no confidense at all at this venue.

fished the hendon prom this morn good sea on, decent bait everything right not a sniff.

sorry got a seagull again got fast with it trying to get it in but line parted.

we used to get sprats years ago about xmas time they used to get washed up all over but for a while now not much mention of them till now. although sprats were about yrs ago you still heard of the odd good fish gettting caught but reading reports now there,s bugger all.  hard times
