Ya better off using pulley rigs on rock marks Trev thats what type of fishing they are made for ya have more chance of getting a fish back by using a pulley rig fishing rocks.

then again ya never catch owt any way apart from billets.  :PTYIT: :PTYIT: :PTYIT:
Prefer them on mixed / snaggy ground. On the rocks( if you're not using rotten bottoms ) with a pulley if you're lead goes you lose everything.Bye the way I wish I could catch a billet or even a weaver at the moment :lol2:
I'm not a complete idiot there's bits missing

If i fish rocky ground i use the pulley with a rotten bottom Trev so ya just lose the sinker.

I've considered using them, but what put me off was that if I'm going to be casting a good distance I prefer to use a single flapper rig with a penel hook setup and silicon stoppers so the swivel slides to bottom on hooking a decent fish anyway effectively lifting the lead clear like a pulley does.

If I'm fishing rough stuff then a pulley rig but I don't tend to chuck too far when fishing rough so the features of these things are redundant for me at least as a normal decent sized swivel does the job.

make my own links fpr pulleys just get some links from hardware shop that hold plugs for sinks etc probaly safer and cheaper takes no time to bend them perfect for the job .dont get the thin links it defeats the object.

Bought some of these to try last week, firstly not confident about all the strain on the small bit of plastic under the clip.Could see this parting after a few uses and a good cast.
Secondly when using them when a bit of sea on the hook trace can catch in the open end of the link and then it don`t work as a pulley any more. Will stick to 1/o swivels in future.
