Breakaway proper pulley clips
« on: December 12, 2010, 07:18:26 pm »
Been adding the breakaway proper pulley clips to rigs lately with these  time will tell how good they are in place of a normal strong rolling swivel, anyone else use these clips  on their rigs?

All  i use Sam,they are spot on,stop the line from getting kinks in it and weak spots,if your chucking out a seven ounce gripper with decent bait ,you have to have a bit of confidence in your rigs, would not go back to using swivels after using these

I have them on a cople of my rigs and like chris says, it stops the rig line getting kinked.
Anyone can fish......It's Catching them that's the hard part.

The only thing wrong with them is if ya fishing rocky ground a ya get snag after pulling out i have found the line cuts into the plastic bit and it doesn't work properly.

Any one else hard that trouble like that.

Used them for about a year now without a problem, wouldn't use them on rock marks though.I've stopped using pulley rigs on the rocks.
I'm not a complete idiot there's bits missing

Ya better off using pulley rigs on rock marks Trev thats what type of fishing they are made for ya have more chance of getting a fish back by using a pulley rig fishing rocks.

then again ya never catch owt any way apart from billets.  :PTYIT: :PTYIT: :PTYIT:

ya supposed to change them well before twenty sessions though eddie... :YHMAN:
Probs better off using swivels if your fishing rough ground all the time as all these modern rigs can notch up a few quid if your losing gear :D

had a few snap offs with swivels in the past, but if your using a good heavy line for your rig body and you check it/change the body regular then you should not have any problems.............use some of that shockleader what you reeled in last night :o
