Whiting ban

Just read on another site,that commercial boats have had a total ban on landing whiting,not sure of the ins and outs,but one of the commercial lads has confirmed this,am i right in thinking that most boats have allready had there quota of cod.......and now a whiting ban....anyone shed a bit light on this

Ive been searching google mate to see if it is true. If it is true that may explain the large specimens that are showing up nearer the shore.
Anyone can fish......It's Catching them that's the hard part.

2011 SPECIES CAUGHT:  Coalie x3(biggest 33.5cm), Rockling x6, Blenny x1, Flounder x1, Whiting x1

Never heard owt like Chris i will have a look about and see if i can find owt.

Its a ban on cod we want not the yting.
