owt today

well fished lynemouth 11.30 till 3.00 sea had fell right off infact shud have had the boat out flat no cod 6 small coalies never mind always another day.

Unlucky mate,that sea dropped off really quick,did you get out of consett Allright,the main routes in Stanley ok,back roads still bad unless you have mates on a snowplough :GRINCH:

hi criss 11 yeh me mate has a berlingo van with snow tires on pulls through the snow like a 4 wheel drive lol the roads were ok all the way there only an inch of snow in the alcan car park and just a dusting on the sea front was gutted when i seen the sea had dropped of b mateut just one of them things

The way it goes lad's should be decent Sunday night on, got some runny and squid today will be kept till Sunday at the earliest

talking to a lad in alcan car park he said cresswell has fished well all week with the seas being big will maybe try that owt next time the seas are big.

Me and Keith (Ellis 995) fished the Hall today, had a couple of coalie, a whiting and a small plaice.Not a cod to be seen .
Anyone can fish......It's Catching them that's the hard part.

Too much easterly an a lot of clear water = Billet IMHO,when it turns Sun/Mon a different case unless you can find somewhere with colour in the water at the moment

thats 1 of the reasons i fish lynemouth still a dirty beach water always coloured so fishes  in daylight just like the durham beaches used to be when the pits wre on the go

Lynemouth is a bit of a treck for me and when ya get 12mpg in ya car it gets a little expensive.

hi wolfydave its a treck for me from consett but its fished well since september have been up there a few times now had some canny catches as long as theres sea on and as im not working at the minute can get up any time the conditions are right well thats the plan got it wrong today ha ha

Everyone makes the occassional mistake. Hall beach should have been ideal today,lots of colour in the water and still a slight swell,freezing cold and still an easterly wind.There should have been cod still there but non were caught.

yep theyve all got well fed all week with the seas being on and moved back off shore for us today ha ha

I think you are right. Even the yting were on the small and skinny side.We got 1 oversize and the lad fishing next to us got 1 oversize but the rest were undersize and safely returned to the water.
