Weather update
« on: November 25, 2010, 04:49:31 am »
Bit dissappointed with some of the local weather forecasts, initially forecasting, flurries along the coast, dont know what its like on the coast, but blizzards is how i would describe it 20 miles away from the coast, all ferkin night.Anyone got to travel inland today,i would not bother, roads are at a standstill at 7.30 this morning,i certainly aint even attempting to go to work, winds strengthening later today with some more significant snow this afternnon/evening

More flurries forecast next 48 hours, probs turn back to sleet on the coast in daylight...........weather set to continue to come from scandinavia well into next week, monday tuesday, wind will pick right up and temperatures will plummet even further, expect disruption on the roads as there will be more snow to come over the next couple of weeks, some of it unexpected as the met find it difficult to forecast snow when it comes straight off the sea for some reason.
Take care if you do get out fishing lads as said it will get quite bad at times, exceptionally bad for late november

Snowing very heavy here now, main roads are starting to cover over.Went out in the car this afternoon and traction control and ABS were working overtime. Very slippy indeed gents .....so BE CAREFUL if you are venturing out.

The air temperature will be slightly warmer Sam,when the wind comes off the sea this time of year, the sea temperature is warmer than the land so it will increase temperatures, but you will not feel any benefit in a 30mph wind :MDDDSSS:only plus is any snow may turn to rain/sleet on the coast,if you can call that a plus
