New labour have just left office after completley screwing everything up,the country is on its knees,Torie/lib dems are trying to put things right, only way they can do this given the national debt racked up by ;Labour is by screwing everybody, come january the vat is going up this is going to have a knock on effect on spending in every business sector, believe me it is going to get worse, unemployment will hit new highs, who is to blame, give the tories a few years to put things right,if not i am sure Cameron will make a fortune writing a book as Tony Blair and Gordon Brown did........they may have given the proceeds to the poor and the needy, not sure to be honest...........Dont have any trust in poloticians full stop regardless of there colours, they are all making a fantastic living out of us the taxpayer, look at the expenses fiasco.........Mps from all parties taking the pish...............Agree with Sam Tony good thread should stimulate some interesting points of view

The government has a lot of swing with the banks and what they do and the governments encouraged the credit boom in the nineties, which resulted in many people not just in this country getting mortgages and loans which they just could not afford, this is what had a massive impact on the global crisis, agree with part of what you say Tony, the banks were a big part of it.......but the government were to blame also

money caused it and money will not cue it
you cant blame a political party for the actions of get rich quick chancres in the banking institutions  who took so many risks that they almost destroyed the capitalistic system with there greed and still give them selves a pat on the back and a big bonus for what they did

labour just happened to try and borrow there way out of trouble , the torys said while in opposition that they would let the country stand ( or sink) on its own by doing nothing to try and keep the country going , the lib/dems also planned to borrow there way out of it if in power
those poor folks in america under bush  first tried to spend there way out of it by giving every adult 660 dollars ,when that did not work ( most kept the money for the future and id not spend it as the gov thought the would )and now under obarma  are printing a trillion dollars to get out of trouble , the last numptys to try that ended up putting hitler in to power to get out of trouble from the inflation that made a loaf of bread millions of marks

we are sitting in a very tight spot no doubt but its not the doing of 356 people its the hedge fund managers and high risk load officers of the american , british , other european and far east banks that got us here
if in danger or in doubt run around and scream and shout

part 2 before its too far behind

until the world does away with money and gives every on a fair and equal share for a fair job the there is no way to cure this , thinking that the poor saps who sit in a cold dusty room in london have any control over this country is naive
there are thousands of un elected civil servants who run this country  the government implement the plans of these mandarins as there advice as to what is and can be done become the policy's put forward by those in power

make no mistake who ever you vote for its the "government" that always get in and the 300odd fools in the commons have nothing to do with that
if in danger or in doubt run around and scream and shout

Not entirely true tony,

I can't really be chewed to retype my mini rant, but the 'global economic banking crisis' is only a small part of the poopoo we're in, even before the proverbial hit the fan we were up to our eyes in debt, the banking crisis would have been bad enough but on the back of an ill prepared country thanks to Gordon wobbly chin 'hey I can borrow more money' Brown we were royally f**^^d when the banking crisis hit.

Trust me when I say I could write several pages on where Za-Nu-Labour went wrong and betrayed our country and peoples over and over again in every level imaginable but what's the point that shower of sh*^ have been kicked out and we have a new shower of sh(* in power, no matter who we vote for we're the little people and we're in for a rough ride.
