Shields, Seaburn & Ratty 19-Nov-2010
« on: November 20, 2010, 01:33:31 pm »
Picked Lenny up at 19-30 & tried the mill dam at shields. Managed a small flounder & rockling.
Lenny managed a couple of small coalies & a small whiting. Not long after Fifh4T (Steve) turned up but with not a lot doing the 3 of us decided to try the cat & dogs at seaburn.
We got there at about 23-00. There was already about 5 lads fishing around from the toilet blocks but they were got loads of weed.
We set up just on the corner & could see loads of lights on the CLOSED Roker pier.
There was no wind at all & a great sea running & it looked great cod conditions.
After 2 hours fishing Steve managed a codling which was just under 2lb.

After this we were plagued by weed so we decided on one final move to the rathouse.
We set up on the corner but it was very quiet & the only fish we managed was when I caught a decent flounder.

That was it for the night so we finally packed up at 05-30.
Well done to Steve (Fish4T) on the only decent fish on the night.
Hopefully better fishing for me on Sunday night.
