The wind direction changed last night to SE's and got up as well at about 10.30 and gradually got stronger.Had white horses on seaham beach and by the time we left the beach at 12.30ish there was a 4ft swell and it was getting worse by the minute.
Anyone can fish......It's Catching them that's the hard part.

2011 SPECIES CAUGHT:  Coalie x3(biggest 33.5cm), Rockling x6, Blenny x1, Flounder x1, Whiting x1

I was looking to go to Seaton Carew 'Staincliffe Hotel' friday (if my dearest allows) around 5-6pm. H/W is at 2pm and the winds may have died down abit. If anyone fancies a pop down please feel free. (Trev)?

just been checking some of the long range forecasts, seems to be a high pressure sitting over europe which is dictating our weather, its stopped the air flow off the atlantic and most of our weather is coming straight in off the north sea, resulting in cooler air and unsettled sea conditions for maybe the next 10 days, winds will ease slightly tomorrow and Friday with the sea dropping off slightly, but the winds will pick up again from the North east for the weekend......hopefully some good fishing to come with this change in weather
