A series of unfortunate events
« on: November 11, 2010, 09:57:35 pm »
Decided to pack the fags in today, always going to be a difficult day,but things were worse than normal.................................
Spent most of the day generally getting soaked trying to do a porch base supposed to be finished for tomorrow....no chance,at about midday my phone went flat,no big deal at this moment in time, finished work about 3 and had arranged to meet eddie and dave down at the hall beach, wasnt going to be a long session for me as i had not been honest with the missus and told her i might be working a bit later as i had used my brownie points last night fishing so did not wish to push my luck...........Arrived at the Hall beach,Eddie and Dave were catching whities and wolfy dave turned up,think he had a whitey or two out,Rain coming down very heavy and very windy also, about seven thought i would call it a day, soaked through and blanked in style.....no big deal...........said taraa to the lads and packed me gear away...went to start the car..........car was having none of it......the rain had soaked my key fob could not disengage the immobiliser, dave who has experience in these matters, stripped the fob, dried it and put it back together and managed to get the fob light working again..but it still would not start.......decided to phone the old man on daveys phone (which also went flat) who had the spare key,he was none too pleased about having to take off his smoking jacket and crevatt and travel down to seaham in attrocious conditions,,,,,,,,whilst waiting dave thought he would have another go with the fob and started the car straight away..........had to borrow eddies phone to phone me dad,who had allready left the house, luckily he had his mobile,so my mam managed to contact him and call off the trek down to seaham,in the meantime my mam also phoned sharon(wor lass) and told her my car had broken down whilst fishing............thats me up **** creek.
Once again i said my goodbyes to the lads and thanked them for there help.......headed off in the car and managed to take a wrong turn off south bound on the a19........toured lots of strange villages on my quest to get home in attrocious conditions.......arrrived on the outskirts of Durham,Belmont i think and my petrol warning light came on......at this point i realised my phone was dead and i had no money on me............as it happens i made it home safe and sound with some fumes in the petrol tank.

A bottle of wine later, still just managing to keep off the ciggies....All is well..........Got all of the shite over and done with today the rest of the week is going to be a breeze

Cheers for your help today lads appreciate it :YHMAN:
