Pilot Pier (Hartlepool) - Saturday 30th October
« on: October 31, 2010, 08:36:15 pm »
My apologies for not reporting sooner.

7am to 11:30am

Sea state was rather flat, only myself on the pier so rather peaceful. Middleton pier looked rather dead too.

Plenty of bites but alot more snags and five rigs lost, including both shock leaders (60lb).

Only one coalie to show for my time and that was undersized. Didn't throw it back as the hook had gone through its eye, a quick death and now bait in freezer.

The wind got up about 11am but must have died down later in the day.

All in all a quiet time but still it is all experience.

You did well to get anything out with the conditions and tide Stephen.Just see how things improve with the bigger tides to the back end of this week and the darker nights. Daytime you're relying on colour and movement in the water more than night.
I'm not a complete idiot there's bits missing
