CLIFF WALK......COULD SPELL DANGER
« on: October 14, 2010, 06:58:41 pm »
I HAVE JUST RETURNED FROM A WALK ALONG THE CLIFF TOPS BETWEEN RYHOPE DEAN AND HENDON, AND I WOULD URGE ANGLERS AND INDEED ANYONE ELSE TO BE VERY CAREFUL , THE CLIFFS HAVE ONCE AGAIN FELL VICTIM OF LANDSLIPS MAKING FOR DUBIOUS  CONDITIONS ESPECIALLY IN DARKNESS.

cheers mate wouldnt mind seeing that ,deya not take a camera with ya .

were we went on holiday the goverment are starting to put walkways along all the seafronts where the land has slipped into the sea ,its a good idea one the tourists get a nice path and 2 its making it a bit safer for the peeps.this country will wait till someone falls intothe sea before anything is done ,we only put gravel down and they say enjoy.
of all the things iv lost,
only my mind needs to be found.

I take it the cliffs are clay if they're washing away at that rate.
I'm not a complete idiot there's bits missing

Be well dodgy at the moment then some of the rain we've had,do many people fish off them or are they mainly access to fishing marks.

the cliffs look like they are an old coral reef with sand stone and top soil  about 20M high ,  undercuts easy with the sea and washes off the top easy with rain

if in danger or in doubt run around and scream and shout
