Good sea on
« on: August 25, 2010, 12:20:25 pm »
Had a run to the gare about 8-30 this morning cracking sea on,must be off the swell cos the winds still w-n-w.Looks spot on for the bass, went and dug some rag and lug and I'll give it ago this afty over high water.Would try the beach but it looks like weed city,so I'll be chucking into the sinker graveyard known as the tangles :lol2:

Well I went back 2hrs before high, the wind had swung easterly. Not good for anywhere down here easterly and  a biggish tide, just dumps a ton of weed on the beach and clears the water.Switched the plan to fishing Bran Sands for the lad's who have dug bait down the gare B/sands is the name of the basin where you dig the bait.
Set up and fishing for 3 o'clock using rag and lug cocktails, first couple of casts to the crabs, used a cork
every other cast but the crabs must have had a trampoline.Casting close to the rocks incase any bass sniffing around, fourth cast got a big knock then a slackliner, reeled in missed it :ash22:back to crab feeding.Another massive slackliner about 7 o'clock, failed to connect again, final total 3 crabs.Sometimes lifes a Barsteward,on the good side lost no gear :lol2:
