Just keep checking on them Lenney and if there is any dead ones take them out, keep them in a cool place and keep them in the peat and they should last as long as you want them to. Thats all i do.

Dug or farmed worm?

Most likely farmed if bought online.

Farmed worm  keep alot better than dug if in peat.

Ask most of the tackle dealers, they'll tell you, farmed worm keeps easier than the dug stuff especially if kept in peat.

Farmed-Change the paper every day or two discarding any dead worms, store in a fridge.

Dug-The same although theses don't keep to well in peat, these are best of dug fresh then kept in cat litter trays with a smidge of sea water with regular changes every day or two again discard any dead worms or worms which are cut as these worms will kill the rest as they bleed and turn the water a dark colour introducing bad bacteria killing the healthy worms.

did ya know a lot of the farmed worm comes from the alcan site in woodhorn northumberland.caught a bit about it on screaming reels .handed picked as well.
