is it easy to get on the walkway do you not have to go thro private housing .whats the parking like is it fairly safe never fished here before but fancy it, is the area you fish noot littered with boat moorings.
i fished the velva liquids jetty years back but blocked off, some people dont like fishing the river but i think its great fishing.

hi john parking next to the sailing club,enough room for 6/7 cars,thats just were it is the old velva site and yes you can lose gear ,iv been lucky these last 2 sessions iv had on there no gear lost ,cast out as far as poss and when /if ya strike wind in as fast as poss to get over the snaggs which are about 40yards out.if theres a strong tide you will need grippers as it will pull you into the snaggs.gis a shout if ya need anymore info.

As Bri says John,parking next to the sailing club,think some people park in the housing estate or even the hotel car park,distance can be essential,especially as the tides pick up,dont think you will have any probs there though,crabs doing the business at the mo
