The UK trawl fishing fleet has to work 17 times harder to catch the same amount of fish today as it did when most of its boats were powered by sail, according to new research.

that makes sense, considering all the massive foreign  trawlers that are allowed to **** the north sea ,most of our bigger trawlers only catch 1/4 of what theres do ,and we have to go closer to norway.
of all the things iv lost,
only my mind needs to be found.

The trawlers have superior technology these days and wipe out a lot more fish,so obviously a lot less fish about resulting in boats travelling further and working harder......what does not make sense is the zillion mackeral, billion coalies and million codling....oh and a few flatties which is around our coastline at the moment...any views on this
