went out today on my mates boat the ellie-mac,,hard work today finding any fish,,ended up with 1/2 dozen codling all about the 3lb mark,,plenty makerel and plenty whiteys,,have tried the shads before but never really gave them a decent go,,thought i would give them a good try out today and i will be using them a lot more now,,had 4 cod on them and were even getting whiteys on them,,some of the whiteys were just under 2lb and were taking the shads for fun,,all the fish were full of sprat and when we were coming in the sprat were showing everywhere on the sounder,,just got in in time as it started tipping down with rain,,another good day to be out.

Aye dave them shads are good dave it gives ya bit of chance to get ya gear next to the cod did ya pick
any macky up on them.

Nice to here ya got a few fish for the table mate.

yes,,picked macky up on them but only a few,,used them eddystone eels as well and picked everything up on them,,been on e-bay allready and ordered some more.

Aye they are good thats what we use when we go to scotland work every time.

Nice one Davey,good to see there is still Codling about,did you go very far out  ?.looks like the weather is going to improve second half of this week,should be good for the boats
