well went down for 6.30pm full of hope but not even a bite fished till 10pm with nothing happening and no one around as my mates had enough by 9.30pm took my trace off put a plain sinker and for the first time move my reelseat down finger num  put the brakes on and had a few cast started getting right into it opened up the reel a bit at a time by this time l was getting more confident so opened up the reel all the way thought l was pushing my luck and in the dark to you should of heard the reel what a sound it just kept going well pleased so had a few more cast just to see it wasnt beginners luck mag 525 filled with 18lb main and  60lb shocker casted another 4 times nearly empty the reel just over the head casting im hooked now the reel seat staying down from now on by then it was 11.45pm so headed home so the night was'nt a total waste

Unlucky on the blank jim but well done on the casting with the reel at the butt end. I haven't tried it yet as im still getting used to casting my new rod with reel in upper position.No doubt i will get the courage 1 day.
Anyone can fish......It's Catching them that's the hard part.

well ya have learned 2 things today  m8  theres nee fish about and  ya  casting  iz  improving with the reel down position  welldone ;)
