fished amble sat 18th dec

me and john got there about 7.00pm LW was at 7.35 two hours in and i got knock and reeled it in didnt know what it was at first till i got on the internet a rays bream just over 4lb  caught on crab and mussel we moved to cullercoats for high water met a lad there but didnt get his name got a few knocks but didnt connect to a fish baits used were lug rag runnydown razor crab mussel apart from that one fish it was crap most bait was coming back untouched forgot my camera so had to use my phone s--t pics sorry lads

Not often they get caught on rod and line up here, most clubs disallow them in comps because they get washed up, proper loads were washed up last year along seaburn way, I was wondering if a knock I had last year up Lynemouth was one of these hitting the line because my rod nearly shot off into the sea the bite was that hard and fast but the bait wasn't touched!

Think Coddy and Col also mentioned similar incidents.

One of the lads in whitburn club was waded in when one smacked into his leg he *&^% himself LOL, shame more of them don't chew down on our bait tho :(

Better than nowt mate,surprising how you catch unusual fish when there is little else catching,seen a few washed up on boulmer beach in the past whilst digging.

Very rare to hook one mate well done, had one bounce out the water at me feet last year nearly sh#t meself .
I'm not a complete idiot there's bits missing
