I think Daiwa is on a money making quest now with this reel.Shimano is the same with there fixed spool reels.WHY pay all of that money for a reel. When you can get a good quality reel for less than half the price of one DAIWA ST.

The tournament casters might like it. I for one would have to save up for a year to get one of them,Then it would be a second-third hand one. But people have there own thoughts on Rods,Reels etc. This is just mine.

cant see it being much better than the blue 7ht mag, it might be a little bit lighter, but still cant see it casting much further danny moskops has cast the blue 1 270m i think i saw the video on youtube not sure about the distance but hes had some good casts with it, for the extra money danny should expect to break another record. hopefully they have fixed the pinion support on this reel aswell. think this will be the last of the 7ht models from daiwa now and il definatly not own 1 i need atleast a pair of the same reels just dont have the 800 quid to buy a pair id rather get 8 penn mags or more :p or 4 pen mags and 2 blue 7hts

Too expensive in my eyes. There are a lot of cracking reels out there for a lot less money.
Anyone can fish......It's Catching them that's the hard part.
