Set off to go fishing late morning in some very difficult driving conditions, bait ordered, thought i would sneak down from the hills fish from midday till about four before the roads started freezing over.......got down from the high ground ok..but when i hit washington the car overheated, pulled over and popped the bonnet, radiator dry......locked car and went to local shop to get some water,,,,mineral water of course................got back to the car which had cooled down and topped it up and managed to drop the radiator cap somewhere under the bonnet...never to be found again.........Anyway this was not going to stop me,shoved me fishing cloth in to stop any water pushing out and off i went...........just made it to Rutherfords to get my bait and the car was overheating and the engine was not sounding good.............cut a long story as short as i can........i duffed it the snow was coming down and the car was ferked....made it back to the old mans and got the car temp sorted......but just went back home......expensive day with little to show for it......wee bit pissed off

Well at least you tried mate. It just wasn't meant to be. With the weather being the way it was, it wasn't worth venturing out.Sounds like it would have been cheaper option to go to the pub for a couple of hours.
