With Roker Pier shut me & Lenny had a look on the Rathouse. It wasn,t as windy as I thought it might be when we got there at 20-30. There was only about 5 people on the ratty & we got set up just beside the ramp/steps that take you on. At least here you are not hampered by the railing.
First cast Len managed a flattie & I got a rockling. Not long after that Lenny got a whiting & then a rockling. I managed another rockling & then the crabs came for a feast.
Luckily for us 2 lads left us some extra bait which came in handy to feed the crabs with.
At about 02-00 I finally managed a decent bite & it felt a lot better than a rockling. It turned out to be the only decent fish of the night.

Only about 5 on the ratty Eddie.
Surprised seeing the pier was shut & there was very little wind.
