Redcar beach tonight
« on: November 06, 2010, 09:19:07 pm »
Got a call from my mate Steve about 1 o'clock saying he'd dug some good rag and did I fancy a session on the stray,We got there and set up just before 3 pretty quiet for the first 1 hr just the odd undersize coaley, then as I was baiting up and he was farting about in his bag the rod stand went over.He grabs his rod off the deck and says nowt there I've missed it,no you hav'nt it's slack lineing says I,end result a nice silver bar on the beach weighing 3lb 3 ozs.We stayed till about 7- 7-30 but nowt else decent once the tide went back over the gulley.

We learnt quite a bit more about this spot tonight, there's a second gulley we could have fished but Steve only had wellies on so couldn't get across.Think it will be getting another visit in the near future.

Just on rag mind he'd dug some snakeys as thick as you're finger an 8 to 12 inch long (got the location) There was one monster I wouldn't even pick up :lol2:

It's at a well known bait area down here but most people walk past it to dig, seen the size of him he'd rip me heed off for giving it away :lol2: :lol2:
