IMHO ya cannot beat zziplex  for relability but daiwa rods are vastly underated , the amormhpous range were light years ahead of a lot of other manufactures and still a great rod today

The Whisker range of Diawa rods (in my case it was a trout fly rod) really were in a league of their own, I remember at the time trying everything House of Hardy had and complaining at their rep that nothing they done was on parr with my Whisker Fly, I'd say it took 5 years for House of Hardy and other manufacturers to get their act in order.

As for Sea rods, you're talking nonsense!, Zziplex, pah, give me a Fladden Powerstick anyday, they catch far more maky! ask any of the pro-anglers on Roker right now!
