shields pier 27/8/10 till 28/8/10

fished the round end lastnite crab was the bait got the odd one on rag loads of cod alot undersize and a few onsize lost count bloody pots every were one off southeast corner all the way down past 44 mark couldnt even fish post for pots hope they move them for shields open l fished from 6.30pm till 3am fished the round end but as bottom water came the dann was nearly in front so kept picking the rope up so went on to small wall casting towards tynemouth pier picking cod up on size then about 2am as tide was ripping round l then tryed over slab letting it drift in front of blocks twice had fish on but lost due to catching rope off pots give up went home lost about 7 rigs but still was not put off planning my next trip take the rough with the smooth gonna have to make more leads or buy some  :surf: :fish:

 Thanks For The Report Jim 8 Hours 30 mins Thats One Hell Of A Session,,  Know The Problem You Have With The Pots And The Rope, Have That At Filey Spoils The Fishing,. But Its Good To Hear There Is Some Fish About   :up22:                         ,,,,,BRI,,,,,

Well done Jim.....same problem early Winter last year,one session there must have been 70 dans all the way inside the pier about 60 ysards out,taking the pish 22334

wish there was somitwe as anglers could do ,but this has been brought to peoples attention a number of times and nothing seems to get done .someone ought to take a 4 wheel drive along the pier throw out a big hook and put the lot next to the lighthouse for the owner to collect .
hard lines on the lost gear but well done for putting up and getting fish.
of all the things iv lost,
only my mind needs to be found.
