Squid Pennel Style Baits

Whole calamari squid can take some big fish and has done loads over the past few seasons,especially from the rock marks around whitburn,marsden and shields have seen some lunkers fall to it,now the hard part how to present it correctly so the fish will get hooked!

Firstly take your fixed pennel pulley/pennel pulley rig and then your squid lash the squid onto the bottom hook through its main body-not the head(for this part) and then get your top hook and wrap it around your snood line a few times then put this hook through the main body of the squid and then wrap it with elasticated bait cotton and then put the head through the bottom hook just once will do this will help secure it more so it doesn't fall of when casting,you now have the perfect whole squid bait on your fixed pennel/pennel pulley rig for those "Big fish".
