TOYBOTA - 21st July

Ok, I'll do the 1st boat catch report as well then  whistle

The sea and wind was spot on for having a session on the evening of the 20th July, but as you's probably noticed the thunder, lightning and hammering rain sent us packing for home before we even got the boat in the water.
Today the sea was quite good still but a bit more of a westerly wind blowing but nothing to put me and Scho off a session out on Toybota so we had the boat in the water around 4:30 planning on getting a few hours out.

Daves mate the begging seagull / Oh Joy,,,, more maky!

Of course once we got out there the wind was more noticeable blowing us out to sea at a reasonable lick, meaning jigging for cod was hard going dropping the anchor didn't produce any fish either so we motored around buzzing a couple of wrecks but only getting a couple of maky, ting and coalie for our efforts, eventually we came back in close and started hitting the maky, we'd resigned ourselves to the fact the cod didn't want to play today by this point so just had a bit fun with the maky for the last half hour or so before coming back in.

For all we didn't have a great session (comparatively), I'm sure as hell it beats seven bags of snot out of standing shoulder to shoulder on Roker Pier whipping up the water!

Patchy, but that's mainly because we went looking for cod on wrecks and a few bits of hard ground around wreck bay, when we came in closer we started hitting the maky, they wern't far out at all.

Sea is daft today so imagine water is coloured again  :(
