picked eddie up about 3pm and headed over to hebburn for a few hours to get rid of some bait,,when we got there there was a fella who had been there since 9am and said he had not had a bite all day,,i thought great heres away for another blank,,anyway 1st cast got a bite and straight into a fish,,felt a lot heavier than it was as it was tangled up on an old crack off and twigs,,when eddie lifted it up it was only just over 2lb. it felt like 10lb,,hahaha
back in the house at 7pm,,f***ing freezing but enjoyed it..

Just out of interest lads,looking at the picture it looks like quite a clean fish,normally when they have been a river for a while they tend to look a bit dirty,did the fish look a bit grubby close up...........Just trying to get my head around wether the fish getting caught up river recently have been there since before  the cod drought started or wether these are fresh fish which have came in with the bigger tides/last big seas
