might be worth checking out
« on: December 05, 2010, 07:28:36 am »
Nothing to do with fishing, just thought it might be worth a mention, the heat of the house caused the snow to shift on the roof late last night,it was like an avalanche,it also destroyed all the gutters and ripped off the fascia boards...on closer inspection, the gutters were filled with ice, luckily this happened late at night, had anyone been underneath when this happened it could of been quite nasty...........seems all over this is happening, slight increase in temperature could see more problems like this............................Also knocked the sky dish out of alignment :AWW:

I've just had to knock off huge icicles from my sky dish as it was pulling the dish out of line and we had lost sky signal.I'm not looking forward to the snow and ice coming off our roof as its gonna land directly on the caravan roof...I feel a claim coming on :cm1:
Anyone can fish......It's Catching them that's the hard part.

2011 SPECIES CAUGHT:  Coalie x3(biggest 33.5cm), Rockling x6, Blenny x1, Flounder x1, Whiting x1

thats exactly what concerns me eddie, the ice what fell was about 18 ft length about 5 inches square roughly,if it had hit anyone it could have done some serious damage, its not so much the snow its the heavy ice in and hanging from the gutters, worth while being cautious when leaving the house
