Roker Pier 5-Nov-2010

Fished Roker Pier from 19-30 until 03-00 with my mate Lenny. Weather was mild to start off with but for an hour near midnight it started to blow a gale.
Not many lads on the pier but it was a great spot to see all the fireworks going off all along the coast.
Decided to use my light gear & at first it seemed only small whities were going to show up.
I managed a decent flounder on lugworm.

Caught a couple of small whities & then decided to try some sandeels & ended up with 2 good sized whities.

Ended up a decent night despite the constant rain.

Correct Tony. Seen one of dave's reports of when he wash fishing in your backyard. Had some in the freezer & thought I would give it a try. Its the first time I have caught on sandeel.
It seems the whiting are only interested in fish baits.
